The Blackfalds Bulldogs are pleased to announce the signing of 2005-born forward, Jamie Darlison.
The Whitby, Ontario product split time between the Pickering Panthers and the Trenton Golden Hawks in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) where he scored 14 goals and 48 points in 43 games played between the two teams last season. The six-foot-two, 190-pound forward had 5 goals and 11 points in 16 playoff games with Trenton.
Bulldogs’ Director of Hockey Operations, Al Parada, said, “The Bulldogs are very excited to get a player of this size with his talent. Jamie is a big body power forward who skates extremely well. He goes to the tough areas and plays with a lot of jam. Jamie also brings the experience of a long playoff run with Trenton.”
Darlison stated, “Coming into a big year for my hockey career, I always knew I wanted to play out west. Blackfalds reached out and were very interested, we talked for a couple weeks and I knew the inside and out of the program and what they had to offer. It was something I’ve never experienced before and I was very happy to commit to them for the 2024 season. I can’t wait to get started and looking forward to a great year!
Parada added, “He is a character kid with a great work ethic who will bring leadership and skill to our group this year. I look forward to seeing Jamie in a Bulldogs jersey this season.
The entire Bulldogs organization would like to welcome Jamie and his family to Blackfalds!
