Bulldogs Sign Matthew Ronn

The Blackfalds Bulldogs are pleased to announce the signing of 2005-born defenceman, Matthew Ronn.

The Yorkton, Saskatchewan product played with the Whitecourt Wolverines in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) last season where he scored 4 goals and 24 points in 50 games played. The six-foot, 175-pound defenceman had 6 assists in 13 playoff games last season.

Bulldogs’ Director of Hockey Operations, Al Parada, said, “Matthew is a player we have liked since we played against him in the AJ last season against Whitecourt. He is highly skilled offensively but plays a solid defensive game as well.”

Ronn stated, “I’m honoured to have the opportunity to be a Bulldog and be a part of the Blackfalds community. I’m very excited to get things started and try and win a championship!”

Parada added, “He is an extremely good skater and has a great hockey IQ and is a player you can play in all situations. I am looking forward to seeing what Matt can do this coming season in the BCHL in a Bulldogs jersey.”

The entire Bulldogs organization would like to welcome Matthew and his family to Blackfalds!
